As you know I typically sew for myself whether it be a basic like a bra or a sample for one of my sewing pattern I don’t normally sewing for my kids. If you sew for kids you can relate, they just grow so fast. But you guys, why in the world do I not sew for Sophie more often. Abby of Sew Much Ado really knocked it out of the park with the Sullivan dress. I can’t believe how ridiculously adorable this dress is on my girl.
I hope you are all spending today feeling the love with the special people in your life. I got my valentines present early last night and have managed to only eat 3 of the super yummy chocolates my husband got me. They are calling me from the kitchen as I write this post, I will try to resist.

One of my favourite things to do for Sophie is sew her something while she is napping and then surprise her with it when she wakes up.
When Mandalynn of Striped Swallow Designs posted a picture of her first pattern, Coachella Shorts, I jumped at the chance to test them. They are seriously cute and I was excited about supporting a fellow Pattern Workshop student.
Since I do my best sewing while the kids are napping I decided to see if I could get the pattern completed from start to finish while the kids were down. You know what it was easy peasy to get done and I even had time to spare.
