For close to a year I have watched all these amazing ladies create things for their kids during the biannual kids clothing week. It always looks like so much fun I just never got my act together in time to participate. Another edition start tomorrow and I actually planned everything out and got started last night prepping. All of my patterns are cut out and ready for fabric tonight. I am hoping to have all of the fabric cut out tonight so that tomorrow I can just hit the ground running sewing. I know it is going to be a challenge since my list is actually quite ambitious in terms of time I have available during the week, but all of the patterns are ones I have been wanting to make and should be a nice variety for both kids.
So without further ado here is the list of items I will be creating for the kiddos this week:
Monday: Melly Sews, Sleepy Robe
Sophie has been asking for a robe for a few weeks so when Melly offered up this free pattern I jumped at the chance to make it. I am going to try and make one for both kids since Ben usually gets left out in the clothes making department.
Tuesday: Hey there Threads, Explorer Skirt
After a friend made a few of these and they turned out adorable I knew I had to make one, I just never got around to it. I am planning on using a fun wool suiting material I picked up with a fun accent fabric for Sophie.
Wednesday: Go To Patterns, Recess Raglan Tee
It’s Benny’s turn because I am going to make him this ever popular pattern from Go To Patterns. Looks like a pretty easy sew and should be fun to mix and match some of my knits. If I have time on Wednesday I am going to make one for Sophie too.
Thursday: EmmylouBeeDoo, Bimaa Sweater
It is fair to say that I am quite obsessed with this pattern and almost missed out on it entirely because I nearly didn’t buy the Sew Fab bundle of patterns. This pattern is one of the main reasons I bought it and since seeing so many other amazing versions on other blogs I am super excited to try it out, picture mustard and feathers. Why doesn’t it come in adult sizes 🙂
Friday: Blank Slate Patterns, Vintage V-Neck
I am going to finish out the week with another project for Benny. This pattern looks great and with so many knits in my stash I should be able to come up with a fun combination for Ben.

So there you have it my plan for Kids Clothing Week. Seem ambition? I think this is going to be what I need to get into the habit of sewing more often and I am really excited to try all of these patterns out. Hopefully some if not all of them will be ones I love making and can add them to the shop.
Check back every evening for a run down of how the day went and whether or not I got my sewing done for the day. If you want to keep up with me during the day follow me on twitter @thenestcreation #kidsclothesweek or instagram: @thenestcreations
