Ballard Blog Tour Day 3

Today the blog tour is heading to KZJO Studio where the lovely Kaysie is sharing her grey burnout jersey version of the Ballard.  I love the top paired with skinny jeans and ankle boots.

Make sure to head over to KZJO Studio to read more about Kaysie’s top and see more great pictures of her top.  And come back tomorrow to see my friend Abby of Sew Much Ado show off her Ballard.

Today is also the start of the sewalong over at Indiesew.  Get your copy of the Ballard pattern and grab your fabric and head over to read part 1 of the sewalong.

Ballard Blog Tour Day 2

Yesterday I introduced you to my newest pattern, Ballard!  It has become that shirt I wear on repeat because it is so comfortable and can be worn with so much.  I pair it with skinny jeans and moccasins or leggings and boots.  Even better is that this pattern takes no time at all to sew.

As part of the release of this pattern I am hosting a blog tour of some amazing ladies and their Ballard tops.  Today Annie from The Enantiomer Project is sharing her super cozy heathered pink version that she styled amazingly with her leggings and boots.  This is the epitome of comfort while still looking great.

Party in the Back – Ballard

A friend recently said it perfectly when she described my style as simplicity with unique designs.  I couldn’t have described the look and feel I am going for with my patterns better than that.  I strive for comfort and style while still being able to live our lives and wear our handmade clothes.  No one wants a closet full of clothes they can only wear on date night or for that special occasion.  We want to proudly wear our me made clothes no matter what exciting or day to day things we are doing, and if those clothes are interesting thats even better.

Mixing up the Ravenna

If you didn’t already know, it is Selfish Sewing Week hosted by the lovely Rachael of Imagine Gnats and Kollabora.  This is a week where we celebrate sewing for ourselves.  So set aside the projects for friends, kids, customers 🙂 and sew something everyday purely for yourself.  I will be participating this week and I look forward to seeing everything you are sewing.

Rachael is also hosting a giveaway on her blog where you can win 40 patterns from a great group of indie designers as well as a gift certificate to Indiesew.  My Ravenna pattern is among those being offered so throw your name in for a chance to win it.

Ravenna Tester Round Up

Last week I introduced you to my first pattern, Ravenna, and I couldn’t be more excited for the response it got.  You are all so great!

The real people to thank for this pattern are my amazing testers who stuck through MANY revisions and helped me to refine the pattern in a way I never could have done on my own.  When you look at a pattern for weeks you stop noticing the details.  The steps all make sense to you because they make perfect sense in your head, you forget that every person who makes the pattern isn’t going to be in your head.

Flirty Meets Modern – Ravenna

It’s here it’s here the day is finally here!  You can now purchase your own copy of Ravenna!

When I decided on a whim last May to sign up for Lauren Dahl’s Pattern Workshop (affiliate link) course I never could have imagined I would actually get to this point.  I had absolutely no knowledge about pattern drafting at all.  If you could see the first email I sent Lauren with a bunch of ridiculous questions you would laugh, I had no idea what I was doing.
