I am so excited to release this pattern that has been on my mind FOREVER! I was in a bit of a pattern design/sewing funk through most of December and January but this pattern finally brought me out of it. It turned out exactly how I wanted and ended up being even more comfortable than I imagined.
Introducing Bellevue!
Bellevue has a wide open neckline with two finishing options, either banded or faced, and four sleeve lengths. I am a sucker for elbow length but the short sleeve is perfect as the weather is warming up. The pattern is a mix of knit and woven with endless possibilities.
The top is fitted through the chest but then relaxed through the waist and hips. My favourite detail of this shirt is the shirttail hem that is slightly longer in the back to cover your bum. And since it covers your bum you could totally wear it with leggings because then they’re not pant right!
There are so many fabric combinations you can use with this top to either make something that perfect for date night or a playdate with the kids at the park. There are two finishing options for the bottom of the shirt, simply sew the woven accent fabric to the bodice and you are done. Or you can attach it with a small band to give your shirt the look of it being layered. I love both ways!
I expanded my sizing with this pattern to now include up to 24, I want to share the pattern love with even more women. I had some really great help from testers for sizes 20-24 since this was new sizing for me. I will have a full tester round up later this week with more pictures from all the sizes. If you want to check out my sneak peak from last week you can see so many great versions of this pattern.
In addition to showing you how to adjust your pattern pieces by lengthen or shorten the bodice for a better fit I have also included instructions on how to modify the top to be a basic raglan tee while still retaining the shirttail hem detail. My tester Kyla is pretty adorable in her long sleeve raglan.
The pattern is now available in the shop and will be marked down 20% through Friday so don’t miss out on your chance to get this pattern for a discount. Watch this week for more info on the blog including a remixed top and my tester round up.
